Annie Gaydos Tyson

Annie Gaydos Tyson, 78, passed away July 18, 2020, at her home in Hamilton.

Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 29, in Live Oak Cemetery.

Annie was born April 1, 1942, in Jourdanton to Jim Sr. and Christina (Polasek) Gaydos. She grew up in Jourdanton and graduated from Jourdanton High School in 1960. After high school she met and married Otis Eugene Tyson Sr. in 1961 in Hamilton. They were happily married for 57 years.

Annie enjoyed raising Chu birds, helping out on the farm, fishing and feeding livestock.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Otis Tyson Sr.; parents Jim Sr. and Christina Gaydos; siblings Robert Gaydos, John Gaydos, Jim Gaydos, Jr., Alvina Mangum and Millie Dansbee; and step-daughter rCh D Nancy Weir.

Survivors include sons Otis Tyson Jr. and Jim Tyson and wife Farrah; stepdaughters Sharon Williams and husband Charles, Connie Wood and husband Charles; son-in-law Doug Weir; siblings Janie Vance, Theresa Creagear and husband Greg, August Gaydos and wife Wilma; sis DireCter-in-law Rosella Roberson; niece Anna Gaydos; grandchildren Bradley, Kaitlynn and Kourtney Tyson; great-grandson Hayden; and numerous other relatives.
