Anita Massingill

Anita Massingill, 92, of Temple died Tuesday, Nov. 24, 2020.

Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Nov. 28 at St. Mary Catholic Church in Temple. Burial was in St. Mary Cemetery in Westphalia under the direction of Scanio-Harper Funeral Home.

Mrs. Massingill was born April 7, 1928, in Westphalia to Alois Fuchs and Ceclilia Niersmann Fuchs. She married George Massingill on June 3, 1969, in Temple. He preceded her in death on Jan. 2, 2005.

She was a homemaker and a member of St. Mary Catholic Church where she was a member of the Altar Society and served on the Bereavement Committee. She also worked with seniors and was a Eucharistic minister at the V.A. chapel and hospital.

Survivors include four stepchildren, Jackie Earl Massingill, Linda Curry, Brenda Schrank and Connie Jones; numerous step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren; a niece, Patricia Hohensee; and six nephews, Maxie Roessler, Billy Roessler, Monroe Dierschke, James Fox, Leroy Fuchs and Charles Fuchs.

Memorial donations may be made to St. Mary Catholic Church or School.
