POWERLIFTERS TO HOST MEET-The Hamilton Bulldog and Lady Bulldog powerlifting teams competed in Stephenville last Saturday and will host a tri-meet to include Dublin and Stephenville competitors Saturday beginning at 10 a.m. in the Hamilton High School weight room. “Our kids competed well in Stephenville,” said Coach Sonny DeLaGarza. “We have several of our girls and boys that could possibly qualify for the regional meet this year.” DeLaGarza said he wanted to thank the community for supporting the Bulldog and Lady Bulldog powerlifting teams, and he welcomed the general public to come and support Hamilton’s lifters on Saturday. “Though we are adhering to social distancing, it would be wonderful for members of our community to come up the hill on Saturday and support our athletes.” He said, “We have had such wonderful support from the community over the past several years, and we especially want to thank individuals like David and Leslie DeJong who have provided continued support for our program.” The HHS powerlifting teams are coached by DeLaGarza, Aaron Emeyabbi and Katie Emeyabbi.
