With the general hunting season for white-tailed deer just a few weeks away, landowners and hunters are reminded to use caution on all-terrain vehicles.
“More Texans have died in ATV-related accidents over the last 30 years than in any other state,” David Melde, Hamilton County Farm Bureau president, said. “They’re a popular way to get around the farm, ranch or deer lease, but that convenience also comes with a certain risk.”
There are more than 700 deaths and 100,000 injuries each year involving ATVs, according to the US Consumer Product Safety Commission.
