USPS suggests holiday mailing dates

WASHINGTON — The U.S. Postal Service has announced its recommended mailing and shipping dates for holiday mail and packages.

The following are recommended send-by dates for expected delivery before Dec. 25 in the continental United States.

• USPS Ground Advantage service: Dec. 18 • First-Class Mail service: Dec. 18

• Priority Mail service: Dec. 19

• Priority Mail Express service: Dec. 21 For Alaska and Hawaii:

• USPS Ground Advantage service: Dec. 16

• First-Class Mail service: Dec. 18

• Priority Mail service: Dec. 19

Be a Friend

Next week is Friends of the Library week and Hamilton Public Library FoL invites HPL supporters to become friends.

FoL is a group committed to supporting youth and adult programs at Hamilton Public Library for the community. Fund raising events like book sales, drawings and the recent golf scramble are a part of the FoL mission as well as volunteer work, which is greatly appreciated at the library.

“Our library operates strictly on donations, and fortunately, FoL works within a community that gives back,” said Friend Terri Streater.
