Doyal Billingsley
Doyal Winfred Billingsley, 78, went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on April 1, 2022, at his home surrounded by family.
A memorial service was held April 8 at First United Methodist Church in McLean.
Doyal was born to Roy Jefferson and Etta Florence Billingsley on April 22, 1943, in Shamrock. He graduated from McLean High School in 1961, where he met the love of his life, Nancy Jo Meacham. They were married for 58 years and had two children, Melissa and Melanie.
Doyal worked for El Paso Natural Gas for more than 42 years. He enjoyed spending time with family, golfing, collecting guns and knives, participating in cowboy shooting and greeting people with his witty charm. Throughout his entire life he was faithful to his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ as a member of the United Methodist Church.
Doyal also served as a long-term member of the Masonic Lodge.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Jerry Billingsley, his sister Margaret Nix and brother-in-law Keg Nix.
He is survived by his wife Nancy Billingsley; daughters Melissa and husband Trine Villarreal of Amarillo and Melanie and husband Rick Housden of Hamilton; grandchildren Brittany Cotgreave and husband Derek, Kelby Villarreal, Alex Reich and husband Reagan, Cambree Villarreal; and Abbie Housden and boyfriend Hunter Creasey; and three great-grandchildren Quinn and Kayson Cotgreave and Sloane Reich.
Memorials in memory of Doyal can be made to a favorite charity.
