Doris Dannette Glover

Doris Dannette Glover was born to Amador and Janie DeLeon on Sept. 10, 1966. She married Dwayne Glover May 12, 1984.

Doris was a devoted wife, partner in crime, best helper ever, sister, sister-in-law, friend, counselor, mother to Josh, Maggie, Jaileigh and Tramaine and Boo to Mylan, Mathis, Maddox, Berkeley and Kysen as well many “unofficially” adopted kids and grandkids.

Doris was a staple of Hamilton, serving as a beautician for more than 35 years. She loved everybody and wanted each person to feel loved. She had an innate sense of knowing what people needed with the desire to fulfill the need. Her ability to be the voice of reason from a place of love drew people to her and her Infamous Chair at Dona’s!

Doris was dedicated to health and exercise, never missing a CG workout. She loved to volunteer for Hamilton ISD activities as well as community activities. Doris modeled what it means to live life to the fullest by being actively present for family, friends and the community and always quick with a smile, laugh, a joke or even a hug.

Doris absolutely adored her husband. Their marriage of 37 years, but together about 42 years, is a testament of true love and devotion. Whether you were blood family or not their house was always open with plenty of food, fun, laughs and love.

Doris was preceded in death by her parents. Doris is survived by her loving husband, adorable children, precious grandchildren, siblings, nieces, nephews and a vast community of people who honor and love her.

A celebration of life service will be held Saturday, July 24, at 10 a.m. at the First Baptist Church in Hamilton.
