Gertrude Eline Heptner Schrank went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sept. 4, 2020, 16 days prior to her 90th birthday.

She was born Sept. 20, 1930, in Hamilton County to Joseph Heptner and Emma Zimmerman Heptner. She was the eighth of 10 children in the household having four brothers and five sisters.

A celebration of her life was held Monday, Sept. 7, at St. John Lutheran Church with Pastor Keith Reich officiating. Interment was in Oakwood Cemetery.

Neoma LaRue Collins Allen

Neoma LaRue Collins Allen, 92, passed away Aug. 14, 2020, after suffering a stroke.

Neoma was born Aug. 12, 1928, in the community of Rochester in Haskell County.

She was the only child of Versie Irene Roach Collins and Earl Edward Collins. At age 2, she and her family moved to Jonesboro, which she considered to be her childhood home. Her father worked in nearby Gatesville at the Boys Reform School. When she was 16, the family moved to Corsicana where both parents were employed by the State Orphan Home.

Annie Gaydos Tyson

Annie Gaydos Tyson, 78, passed away July 18, 2020, at her home in Hamilton.

Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 29, in Live Oak Cemetery.

Annie was born April 1, 1942, in Jourdanton to Jim Sr. and Christina (Polasek) Gaydos. She grew up in Jourdanton and graduated from Jourdanton High School in 1960. After high school she met and married Otis Eugene Tyson Sr. in 1961 in Hamilton. They were happily married for 57 years.

Annie enjoyed raising Chu birds, helping out on the farm, fishing and feeding livestock.

Ralph Dean Patterson

Ralph Dean Patterson, 89, of White Hall, passed away Tuesday Aug. 18, 2020, at his residence after an extended illness.

Graveside services were Friday, Aug. 21, in Turnersville Cemetery.

Ralph was born Dec. 4, 1930, in the White Hall community to Opal Blankenship Patterson and Ted Patterson. He returned to live on and care for the land on which he was born. Ralph served in the Air Force from 1952 to 1955. He was a long-standing member of White Hall Baptist Church near Gatesville.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, David Patterson.

Curtis Scott Gunn

Curtis Scott Gunn, 55, died Saturday, Aug. 15, 2020, after a brief battle with cancer.

Curtis was born March 6, 1965, to Jerry and Charlotte Gunn. He graduated from Hamilton High School and attended Tarleton State University. He worked with Texas Department of Criminal Justice for more than 20 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his two sons, Ty Gunn of Corpus Christi and Seth Gunn of El Dorado; a granddaughter, Jordan Gunn; and uncle Bob and Sharon Gunn of Arkansas.
