Patricia Elizabeth Shook, 73, passed away Thursday, Jan. 18, 2021, in Comanche.

Graveside services will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 30, in Hillsdale Cemetery.

Patricia was a very loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend who will be dearly missed by all who knew her. Patricia graduated from Evant High School and for most of her career, she worked in hospital kitchens in both De Leon and Hamilton. She was also a member of Northside Baptist Church in De Leon.

Hamilton always remained steadfast in her heart.

Eloise Lott Taylor, longtime Hamiltonian, mother of seven Hamilton High School attendees, five Hamilton High School graduates, grandmother of 18 grandchildren and 19 (and growing!) great-grandchildren, passed Thursday morning, Jan. 14, 2021. She had celebrated her 90th birthday just three months before, on Oct. 3.

She grew up in the areas of Freestone County, with her beloved only sister, Daughta, and five brothers, the twins, known as “Big” and “Little” Arthur, Jack, J.T. and Oscar.

Clarence Douglass “Doug” Owen, 83, passed away suddenly Sunday, Jan. 10, at his home.

A memorial service will be held at a later date. Doug was born Nov. 30, 1937, in Brownwood to Clarence Aubrey Owen and Myrtle Davis Owen. He was the fourth of five children, three brothers, James, Doyle, Don, and one sister, Mary Catherine Lehman.

All passed too early in their lives. Doug missed and grieved for them through the years.

Tommy Joe Craig, 88, died Jan. 7, 2021.

Services were Monday, Jan. 11, at Riley Funeral Home Chapel. Burial was in Oakwood Cemetery.

Tommy was born March 26, 1932, in Hamilton County to Charles and Ola Craig.

He spent most of his life driving trucks for Bob Wright, but he also had his hand in rodeos, farming, and ranching. Tommy also enjoyed tending his cattle, working on equipment, and raising crops. When he was not in the field, he watched Western movies and shows such as the Grand Ole Opry or anything featuring John Wayne; he also enjoyed watching rodeos.
