The community is thankful for the efforts of those involved with the Hamilton County Historical Museum and they are celebrating their 25 th anniversary this year.
For those unfamiliar with the museum, it is located at 115 W. Henry St., and contains multiple buildings including the old jail.
HCHM President Coni Guinn said it’s an honor to be able to preserve the history of Hamilton County while teaching about the past.
“At one time there were 112 schools in Hamilton County,” she said. “Back in 1910.”
