The Hamilton ISD athletic department will again be hosting their annual Free Throw Fundraiser this Saturday and is inviting the public to participate in an event that includes activities for all ages.

Beginning at 8 a.m. in the junior high gym, Hamilton’s Lady Bulldog basketball teams will be putting on a free Skills & Drills clinic for first through third grade boys and girls. The drills and skills session will last until 9:30 a.m.

The Hamilton Bulldog boys’ basketball teams will then host a free clinic for fourth through sixth grade boys and girls in the junior high gym from 10:30 a.m. to noon. All children are invited to participate free of charge in the Skills & Drills basketball clinics.

From 8 to 10 a.m., the Hamilton junior high and high school boys’ basketball teams will be raising money for Hamilton’s athletic department in the high school gym. Hamilton’s athletes are looking for sponsors willing to contribute any amount.

The sponsor will be asked to contribute a dollar amount for each free throw their sponsored athlete makes out of 100 free throw attempts. Hamilton’s junior high and high school Lady Bulldogs will be shooting free throws and raising money for the athletic department between the hours of 10 a.m. and noon in the high school gym. Sponsors are all invited to come and watch as the players shoot their free throws.

Last, but far from least, Hamilton’s athletic booster club will be providing a spaghetti lunch for attendees between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. in the commons area between the Chandler Craig Auditorium and the high school gymnasium.

Traditional spaghetti and/or chicken spaghetti along with salad, rolls, tea and a dessert will all be available for $10 a plate.

Head Lady Bulldog basketball coach and girls’ athletic director Stephen Heers extended an invite to all, saying, “Please come out and watch our athletes work out our future Bulldogs at the junior high gym, and if you sponsor an athlete shooting free throws, you can watch them shoot at the high school while enjoying a warm meal in support of our Booster Club.”
