Livestock Assn. to meet Feb. 27
The Hamilton County Junior Livestock Association will meet Monday, Feb. 27. A board of directors election will be held at the Hamilton High School Ag dept., 6:30 p.m. The meeting is open to the public.
Chili supper March 4
Pottsville Volunteer Fire Department will have their annual chili supper Saturday, March 4, 4-8 p.m. at the Fire Station, downtown Pottsville on FM 218. Price is donation only and all donations will be accepted and appreciated. The department is a 501c3 nonprofit organization, so donations are tax deductable.
St. John Lutheran Preschool early registration Monday, March 20-Friday, March 24. Registration packets are available at the preschool office and on the website, stjohnhamilton.org/preschool. St. John family night
St. John Lutheran Church Preschool will hold Family Night Tuesday, March 21, 6-8 p.m. and is open to all current and newly-registered students and their families. Activities planned are themed around the children’s book “Stop that Pickle,” hot dog dinner, pickle crafts and a pickle eating contest.
St. John Lutheran Church Preschool is holding their annual smoked ham fundraiser March 6-April 4. Preschool and kindergarten students will be taking orders for the hams. The pick up date is Wednesday, April 12. All proceeds go towards St. John Lutheran Preschool.
Bluegrass at Pearl
Young bluegrass musicians are invited to play on the stage 8 a.m.-5 p.m. on Friday, March 10 and 8 a.m.-3 p.m. on Saturday, March 11, during the annual Pearl Flea Market in Pearl. Master gardeners meet Feb. 25
Hamilton County master gardener association will meet Saturday, Feb. 25, 3 p.m., at the Demonstration Gardens gazebo, the intersection of North Bell and East Ross streets, Hamilton. Program will be on pruning procedures for perennials, roses, native plants and culinary herbs. Some perennials will be available for propagation. Bring your own chair.
